About Ski Amadé

“Austria’s greatest skiing paradise”

Ski Amadé stands as one of Europe's largest and most diverse ski areas, comprising five distinct regions and 25 resorts spread across the picturesque provinces of Salzburg and Styria. Boasting over 760 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes, Ski Amadé is a haven for winter sports enthusiasts, offering endless opportunities for exploration and excitement. Nestled within the heart of Ski Amadé lies Snow Space Salzburg, a premier ski area renowned for its impeccable snow conditions, state of the art lift system (many lifts with heated chairs), diverse terrain, and charming Alpine villages. Comprising the interconnected ski resorts of Flachau, Wagrain, St. Johann-Alpendorf, and Zauchensee, Snow Space Salzburg promises an unforgettable alpine experience for skiers and snowboarders alike over 210km of pistes.

Unlike other large ski areas where lesson time restrictions often limit the ability to travel around the resort, North47's instructors will remain with their group for the full day including one hour lunchtime supervision. Our flexible lunch system means that our groups are not tied to returning to the same mountain restaurant each day and instead are free to explore the whole ski area (accompanied by their instructor). This coupled with the highly efficient lift system means groups and teachers can be independent and take advantage of the extended ski area.

St. Johann-Alpendorf

  • Easily accessible from hotels.

  • North47 base and the starting point for most of our groups, Alpendorf is where our beginner groups progress the most.

  • Coach parking for North47 groups is opposite the main chairlift (Gernkogelbahn). Your instructor will meet your group at the coach, assist with equipment, and accompany your group up on the lift.

  • Here, you can leave skis overnight on the mountain at no extra cost (no carrying skis back down the mountain at the end of the day). The tree-lined beginners’ area with no through-access is a perfect, safe beginners’ area, close to the Kreisten-Alm mountain hut (as pictured in image).

  • Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains as you carve your way down the slopes of Alpendorf.

North47 Snow Tracks

  • SkiMovie Wagrain: feel like a real ski star? Master the giant slalom from Grafenberg and you’ll be video recorded too. Videos can then be viewed via Skiline using your lift pass.
